How SuperChoice are handling COVID-19

Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

How we’re handling COVID-19

We wanted to let you know we're doing everything we can to ensure our services continue with minimal disruption. What’s happening?

In January 2020, the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and warned of the potential impact to individuals and business operations around the world. On 12th March 2020, the WHO made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterised as a pandemic.

As such, SuperChoice is monitoring the situation and will activate our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) if/when needed.

Our responsibility

We have a responsibility to continue to deliver our services to our customers and to keep our employees safe.

Our approach

We’re regularly monitoring government advice and reviewing our response to ensure this event minimises any disruption to services and keeps our team safe.

  • Pandemic response team in place.

  • Our pandemic response plan within our Business Continuity Policy (BCP) has been reviewed and we are ready to implement if needed.

  • Activation will happen if we receive advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO), Australian Government Department of Health, NSW Health, and other regulatory bodies to do so.

  • We have asked staff who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home and seek medical attention in line with government advice.

  • We continue to provide operational support. There is no change to your service

  • One of the benefits of working in a cloud-based environment is the ability to work remotely.

  • We already have the infrastructure and working from home support policies in place that enable this. If we activate our BCP plan, our team will be able to work from home and you'll not notice anything different.

  • We have proactively engaged with our key vendors and can confirm they are committed to maintaining the service levels we’re used to.

If anything changes and we need to activate our BCP, we'll let you know.
